Casting is a common method in industrial manufacturing model. Casting has less limitation on products and lower internal stress. Therefore, the production investment is less, can be made of good performance of large parts, but the production cycle is long, after molding must be mechanical processing. At present, pouring, casting, pressure casting, rotary casting, centrifugal casting and other methods are derived from casting. This paper mainly describes the specific process of precision foundry.
1. Before casting, it is necessary to be fully familiar with the process documents of the casting pieces, and understand the casting sequence, required steel material, weight and distribution of the casting mold before casting. Check the quantity of ladle, quality of repair ladle, drying and preheating, etc.
2. Check whether the sand box clips and lock box bolts are tight and firm, whether the weight and position of the pressing iron are appropriate, and whether the risers, gate cups and gate plugs are properly placed. Eliminate casting channel unsafe factor.
3. Whether the gate plug required by casting sequence, process requirements and castings is properly placed. According to casting sequence, process requirements and casting requirements of the gate plug is placed properly.
4. Air shall be induced immediately after casting begins. While pouring, air shall be induced. When pouring large pieces, pour them once or twice from the risers after pouring. The thin shell of risers must be pried open before pouring.
5. When the molten steel is poured to 1/3 of the height of the riser, the required quantity shall be put in. After pouring, the molten steel that is spilled from the nozzle and riser shall be immediately removed, and the runner cup shall be removed to facilitate the normal shrinkage of sand falling and casting.
6. The casting mold cannot move until the molten steel is completely solidified. In the later casting period, pay attention to the amount of steel in the package.
7. For the remaining sand mold, the pouring riser shall be well covered for rearrangement. If the storage time of the sand mold does not exceed 48 hours, it can be normally poured.
For experienced casters, these processes are all too familiar, but for novices, learning and research on these processes is essential. A good casting process can make castings more accurate.
