Castings are metal molding objects obtained by various casting methods, that is, molten liquid metal is injected into prepared casting molds by pouring, injection, suction or other casting methods, and the objects with certain shapes, sizes and properties are obtained after cooling and polishing.

Operating procedures

1) check whether the furnace body, furnace door, trailer, wire rope pulley, blower and other equipment are normal before work, and whether there are any unsafe factors such as collapse, fracture and cracking. If yes, it should be handled properly before opening the furnace. Use furnace annealing should be carefully cleaned resistance wire on or near the scale and metal.

2) when starting a fire, carefully check for explosives in the coal. When the wind stops, the coal seam must not be too thick to prevent gas explosion. Coal cinder removal should be handled at any time.

3) before loading and unloading, check whether there are obstacles on the track groove, whether the hook, chain and other tools are reliable.

4) when loading and unloading large castings or thin-wall workpieces, make sure to lay them flat and stable. Space shall be properly left between adjacent Spaces, and the loading height shall not exceed the provisions.

5) before coming out of the furnace, the firebrick and refractory mud on the furnace door should be cleaned, and check whether the pulling mechanism is easy to use.

6) irrelevant personnel shall not be close to both sides of the flat car during baking and handling to avoid sand box or workpiece collapsing and injuring people. Do not rest or pile things around the furnace.

7) work piece temperature higher than 400 ℃, ban use chain or wire rope sling or heat insulation measures, so as to avoid fracture after annealing. When using crane to transport work items, safety operation rules of crane and hooker should be observed.

8) when using a gas stove, the gas ignition sequence should be followed: first blow out the remaining gas in the furnace with compressed air, close the compressed air valve, ignite the ignition rod, slightly open the gas nozzle valve, adjust the compressed gas and gas flow after burning the nozzle to make it fully burn. Cease fire in reverse order. Reverse order is strictly prohibited.

9) when the oil oven is baking, the ignition sequence is as follows: first close the air door, ignite the ignition rod, slightly open the throttle, after the ignition, adjust the air valve and throttle to make it fully burning, prohibit "air pressure oil".

10) when using a pulverized coal fuel furnace, it is forbidden to burn the furnace when the blower is defective or the pipeline is cracked.

11) to repair the electric furnace, the main switch must be cut off, and the warning sign of "for maintenance, no closing" must be hung up, or under the supervision of a person.
